Development of an Ultrasound-Assisted Emulsification Microextraction Method for the Determination of Volatile Compounds in Wines

A fast and simple method based on ultrasound-assisted emulsification microextraction (USAEME) was developed for the analysis of volatile compounds in wines. full factorial 24 screening design built to investigate main factors affecting extraction components, namely volume solvent, sonication time, salt content, pH. Then, with significant effects were optimized using an I-optimal design. The optimal value all variables studied reached under following experimental conditions: solvent 200 μL content 5% m/v. suitability evaluated, resulting very good linearity coefficients determination (R2) higher than 0.995 cases, while repeatability lower 8.4% except d-limonene p-cymene. Recoveries 82% observed groups ethyl esters, acetate alcohols, terpenoid alcohols (linalool, α-terpineol). recovery acids ranged from 70.5% 88.9%, whereas three monoterpenes (d-limonene, γ-terpinene, p-cymene) not extracted satisfactorily. proposed effectively applied laboratory-scale fermentations selected strains Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
